Exterior Stairs

Now, stairs is not only placed into building (house), but also can be placed at exterior (called exterior stairs). For practical use, many people try to change the mean of stairs function, from the connector-between-floors to the connector-between-buildings or places.

In the past, stairs only placed into building. But now stairs also placed at garden, front of terrace, beside of garage or the center of living room. So, no wonder if you see stairs that placed at the front of a house. Basically, stairs is OK if placed outside of building.

For safety and comfort, exterior stairs should have some criteria. Because located at unprotected place, the exterior stairs material must have high-resistance, ex: iron, aluminum, stainless steel, etc. Exterior stairs must have weather resistant, so add other protection like paint-finishing, veneer or wax.

Using stone for stairs is good for making natural atmosphere.

Although placed in front of house, using ceramics for steps and stainless steel for handle are good for stairs beauty.
